THE STORY OF THE BARTLETT SKY BOX CREW

Many of our listeners have asked where the name "Bartlett Sky Box Crew" came from. It goes back many years as Ken Opperman, Mike Cooper and their boys, Eric and Matthew would attend Bartlett High School Football and Basketball games. They would always be in their seats on the VERY TOP row and would also be VERY vocal in their opinions.
They attended nearly every football and basketball game. Ken would always refer to them sitting up in their "sky box". One night at a Bartlett Football game, the guys became very excited and were cheering at the top of their lungs. A fan sitting a few rows below them turned and said, "The Bartlett Sky Box Crew" is "going wild tonight!!!" The name from then on stuck to them and when KPTR.com was formed, they felt it was only appropriate to be referred to as "The Bartlett Sky Box Crew".
